Commodore’s Newsletter – October 2022
Commodore’s newsletter-volume 3
Greetings all,
Here’s the latest:
CRAW in Clearwater
A sizeable contingent from CRAW made their way down to Clearwater, Florida to compete in the 2022 Immunolin F18 world championship and F16 national championship regattas. The F18 worlds featured over sixty boats from eight countries, sailing in conditions ranging from light breezes to boisterous wind and waves over the course of the five day event. Kurt and Tyler were the top finishers amongst the CRAW entries, posting a 20th place finish. Prior to the worlds, four entries, all from CRAW, competed for the F16 national championship. Daniel and Frankie Hearn claimed the title, with Robert and Arden placing second and Chris and Erin finishing third.
In all, a total of sixteen sailors from CRAW participated in one or both of these championship regattas. A hearty congratulations to all who competed-we were very well represented in Florida!
Winter meeting
The annual CRAW winter meeting will take place on Saturday, December 3rd, at the home of Kate and Matt Schnurr. Further details to follow. Thank you Kate and Matt for agreeing to host this year!
All for now. Look forward to seeing you in December!
Best regards,
Commodore Phil
